While interviewing people on the streets of Atlanta  and Miami I came to the staggering realization of how many allegedly well-educated people assumed that Abraham Lincoln was a Democrat fighting slave-owning Republicans in the South.

Confronted with the uncomfortable truth that Lincoln was a Republican, many people became enraged at their own ignorance and projected their angst on our unsuspecting and bewildered crew. To fully grasp the pain of big-government liberals' realization of Lincoln's true party affiliation, imagine Sean Hannity discovering one day that Reagan was a Communist.

By February 1854, anti-slavery Whigs had begun meeting in the upper midwestern states to discuss the formation of a new party. One such meeting, in Wisconsin on March 20, 1854, is generally remembered as the founding meeting of the Republican Party.

WE WILL DISCUSS THIS AND SO MUCH MORE On the Dr C Robert Jones Situation Report
