The Open Stage with Les Hatley

On Tuesday, July 6th, lead guitarist and multiple Wammie award nominee Les Hatley, will join Michelle on The Open Stage to talk about his debut solo CD, Second Chair, a new CD in the works, and his various musical adventures throughout the years. Les started playing in bands in the early-mid 1960s, landing as lead guitarist with The Showmen who opened shows for Roberta Flack, Charlie Byrd, and The Chartbusters. In the 1980’s Les played with The Blue Dog Band, who opened shows for many notable acts, including Gary “U.S.” Bonds, Lou Christie and The Coasters. In early 2001, Les became the lead guitarist with a contemporary gospel group called Seneca, who has been nominated for several Wammie Awards. He currently plays with Rick Crump in an acoustic duo called Crumpled Hat.
