Matt's path in shamanism began in his teenage years after a sudden spiritual awakening.  At that time he had no prior context or framework to understand his experience.  This initiated a process of spiritual exploration that ultimately led him to shamanism.  Over the past four years, he has studied with shamans in the Amazon jungle, the northeast US, and continues to train in southern California and Peru.  He is currently a Master Guide with Modern Shamanism and undergoing training to lead vision quests.
