Everybody knows networking is important, yet very few people feel absolutely confident in their ability to use this valuable tool effectively. Leaders especially need to consistently demonstrate their "fluency" in the language of relationship building, and networking is a "mission critical" skill in this arena. How well do you network? Do you feel relaxed and confident when you are in this role? Or, do you, like many, feel uncomfortable and awkward, despite your awareness that you "should" be able to model this to others? What do you say after you say "Hello"? How do you even get to "Hello."? How do you make the leap between meeting someone and actually doing something useful with that connection? How can you enjoy networking more, and at the same time, get greater value out of your investment of time and energy? These questions and more will be our topic tonight, as leadership and executive coach, Lisa Pasbjerg, interviews our guest, Greg Peters. An expert on networking and the author of the highly acclaimed blog, "The Reluctant Networker", Greg is an engaging speaker who will teach us how to avoid the most egregious networking blunders, and, to learn to use our networking connections to help others, and increase the success in our own lives.
