In an indirect way it does and can have a spiritual connection along the line. Some of this country’s funniest and much loved comedy ‘Heroes’ suffer from depression and use their comedy career as a crutch to cope with life and there is nothing wrong with that. A very high percentage of Spiritual Mediums are ill or suffer from an ailment of one kind or another. About 10 to 15 minutes before I do any spiritual work any ailments I have are removed for the duration of doing Spirit’s work and then given back. During the course of doing ‘Platform’ I am given reminders of what is wrong with me. Depression can come in different forms and I am not going to go in to details about that but want to say that no matter what form of depression you have it is still and always be a very lonely illness. For those that have not experienced such then hopefully this programme will give you a little bit of an insight into the mind of anyone who has depression. There can be any amount of reasons for a person to fall into depression and my breakdown occurred for a few reasons and caused me to have a complete breakdown. I have had two major breakdowns with the second one being far worse than the initial one so I will ‘gloss over’ the first one but will tell you that 18 months after the initial breakdown I will say that in not taking care of myself I ended up having an acute asthma attack which put me into a coma for 8 days. I had to be resuscitated 4 times and my family were told to expect the worse because I was not expected to survive the first night but I did. When out of the coma one of the first things I thought that might have happened was that my gift would have been taken away but I was to find out that it hadn’t just the opposite. Secondly I found I was beginning to wain around the hour and a half mark so my shows will be just 90 minutes from now and this week’s topic is about Past Life Regression and Past Life Readings. Like with most new ‘fads’ Past Life Regression has become one those ‘I must have’ things and people do not realise just how dangerous it can be. Some people associate it with Past Life readings which are harmless. Only a person that is fully trained and qualified should be the one that does Past Life Regression which must at all times be done under a controlled environment. I know of a person that two years ago was not a professional Spiritual Medium and was most certainly not a qualified Counsellor or Therapist and now he promotes himself as both and advertises that he does Past Life Regression. Something not often or rarely touched on so I think this will be a very interesting subject. Ethics – I have a policy with my site[s] and with those that I teach that if you cannot be true to yourself then you cannot be true to Spirit. There are a great number of Charlatans out there who make the work we genuine Mediums do, that much harder. I would like to think that the general public...those that visit Mediums do so on the basis of a recommendation from another (word of mouth). An ex-father-in-law once said to me that ‘If you have to advertise then you can’t be any good at what you do!’ You know you hear these little gems of sayings or words of advice and certain ones stick right there at the front of the brain, well that is one of them and to prove a point, I once owned a Chevy Blazer and I thought I would advertise what I did on it. I did not get one...not one call or enquiry about Mediumship...so in my eyes he was right. Ladies and Gentlemen...we have to be true to ourselves so that we can be true to others. If we are not then there is no point in us pretending to be a voice for Spirit. They are our Judge, they are the ones that make us as good as they want us to be...not you not the public...it is Spirit. There is no need to exaggerate your gift, exaggerate your skills because Spirit can take it away from you just as quickly as they gave it to you. I have had this discussion before and will no doubt have it again. Folks the genuine Spiritualists & Mediums will have a lot of work to do in the not too distant future...be true, be faithful to Spirit and they will be like so to you. But what I have noticed is when reading for a North American listener I think some of you are trying to understand some of our expressions & methods. My country folk who are listening probably know how I do my readings and are used to the way English Mediums read so this is a whole new ball game for me so let me explain how I work with Spirit: I want no information just YES & NO answers please. I will give you statements followed by ‘Can you take this please?’ If I get three No’s in the early stages of the reading I will stop as this would be unfair to you Spirit and me to continue. I will not accept a question during the reading which is something I see happens here. I just give you what I get & then at the end will take a question. We have to make Spirit work for their bread & butter & yes it does work. I see pictures, I see words, I see numbers & I will be given names of towns or people which are something new with my guides. Detail can be the minimal but could confirm to you who is with me. Female Spirits stand to my left & Male Spirits to the right. Occasionally one or two will stand right behind me & put their hands on both my shoulders. REMEMBER NO INFORMATION & I WILL ACCEPT A QUESTION AT THE END. So I have taken the opportunity to edit the details of my next show (Sunday 01.17.10 at 10pm GMT) and have lengthened it to an hour. Also as this is your show and I am just the host that holds it all together we will ‘cut to the chase’ and get you (the audience) to become a part of the programme and interact with me. I can talk to you about who I am and what I do in bits and bobs as you don’t really need to know a lot about me, after all you are interested in finding out if I can do what I profess I can do – Mediumship. I am keeping the title the same throughout as I believe that what I do is just that...showing to you the listener Mediumship as it should be... I have 16 years’ experience behind me and I want to and have to put that time to good use now.
