Women are wearing their robes to work these days - judges robes that is. Felicia Simmons is aiming to be one of those women, in her quest to become a Cook County Circuit Court judge. Today she joins us to explain how a judge can be fair, just and compassionate even in the tough cases. Does gender have an influence on judgement? Are women more sensitive to troubled youth than men? Are women harsher judges toward parents in cases involving abuse or neglect of children? When should a judge exercize compassion and leniency, when should a judge showt "tough love" with longer sentences? What kind of experiences makes one a good judge in the court room?
