Former Promoter Seeks 8.5 Million Before Canelo Alvarez vs Julio Cesar Chavez Jr

The former promoter for Saul “Canelo” Alvarez, Felix Zabala of All Star Boxing, has filed a motion to garnish the wages of Canelo’s upcoming fight with Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. He is looking for a sum amount of $8.5 million. In a previous trial, Canelo was exonerated of the charges but told he had to pay Zabala 8.5 million; Golden Boy filed two appeals that were denied and still haven’t paid the amount. Will this have any affect on the upcoming bout?
