Diets and food fads; they are everywhere and there is always a new one right around the corner. And the latest one is always claiming to be the greatest. THIS will be the one that works. Ya right, good luck with that. We must understand one thing and that is this; a DIET is simply a, Disaster Imminent Every Time®! Remember this acronym and you will never go wrong. Fod fads and diets do not work; they never have and they never will. And no, 'but I lost weight' is not a valid argument defending. Of course the person lost weight; they were over weight and they went on a diet. What did you think was going to happen? Losing weight and then quickly regaining some, all or even more of the weight back (which happens on every diet) is not a success, not even close. 

And with these food fads and diets, individuals are drawn to do some odd things with their nutrition. For example, individuals hear that certain fats are good. So what do they do? Yup, you guessed it, they start to snack on fats...and a lot of them. And is this a good idea? This is a great idea (if you want to get fat!). In no way am I knocking fat, fats are good...in the right amounts of course. Tossing back hundreds and hundreds of calories of fat at one snack that makes up 70% of the calories, not good!
