However, I will not stop there.  Like most Afrikans educated in the American school system, I lived most of my life chasing MLK's dream of integration and assimilation.  What do I need to do to UNDO the damage done to me and how can I make it easier for the upcoming flood of Afrikan brothers and sisters who will be awakening from the dream? ----------------------------------------------------------------- This is Team Afrika Unity Radio with MemphisX.  Here we ask three questions: 1. We can not act like the Afrikan Nationalism is as established as the church.  We must behave like the church missionaries do in areas they invade.  We must send as many of our available resources (money, time, people) into one area until we have established ourselves in that area.  In other words, we must have an instituion (physical location) in the area with appeal to the masses. The question is: Will Afrikan Nationalist bite the bullet and selflessly sacrifice their own personal agenda for the greater good?  Are you willing to be an Afrikan Nationalist Missionary?  What would an Afrikan Nationalist Mission look like? This is what we will be talking about on tonight's show. nationbuilding@blackunitedfront.org BlackUnitedFront.org Let's Ride, It's Nation Time! 01:16:00Team AfrikanoBlack Nationalism Afrikan Nationalist,Nation Building Africa,Pan Africanism Ideology,African Nation Building,Memphis Black United FrontBLACK UNITED FRONT RADIO Afrikan Nationalists are working at a distinct disadvantage.  Our numbers are relatively small in comparison to the religious sects, weCan Garveyism Equal Black Zionism?https://www.blogtalkradio.com/teamafrika/2011/05/10/can-garveyism-equal-black-zionismCulturehttps://www.blogtalkradio.com/teamafrika/2011/05/10/can-garveyism-equal-black-zionism/#commentshttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/teamafrika/2011/05/10/can-garveyism-equal-black-zionismTue, 10 May 2011 01:00:00 GMTCan Garveyism Equal Black Zionism?Black United Front Episode #3 Tonight's show we will discuss ideology.  More specifically, the ideology of this show.  This ideology is Garveyism.  Garveyism is an almost perfect blend of Black Nationalism and Pan Africanism.  Also, Garveyism gives direction to the movement. When saying ideology, I mean using the basic definitions not an overall plan of action.  We can not follow the exact same plans that Marcus Mosiah Garvey, Jr. used almost 100 years ago but his ideas and writings gives us: 1. A system of ideas and ideals that form the basis of economic or political policy. 2. The ideas and manner of thinking of a group, social class, or individual. So in using Garveyism as an ideology, it means using these ideals: (1) race first, (2) self-reliance, and (3) nationhood.  It is simple and just needs to be put in a package that is easily understood and followed by the masses. With regard to equating Garveyism to Zionism, we have to look out how the plan detailed by Theodor Herzl in 1896 in broad terms was manifested into the physical form some 50 years later and 43 years after his death.  What did the Jews do to bring an idea into the physical form?  No matter how you personally feel about Jewish people or Zionism, it is a must that you study what they accomplished. So tonight we will look at Garveyism and Zionism and how we can use that to put together an action plan that is easily embraced by the masses. Let's Ride. Where do we go as African Americans in 2011 and beyond?  The civil rights movement is long gone and the conservative movement threatens to roll back any advances that might have been gained.  African Americans are currently a people without organization or unification.  Tonight's show will begin exploration into whether it is possible at this time to get organized and unified and if so, how can we do it. This is the introductory show for Black United Front Radio.  The purpose of our show will be the Organization and Unification of African Americans. The title for this show was taken from the book written by Martin Luther King, Jr. in 1968. This show will only loosely be about the book as King was not a proponent of Nation Building for African Americans, however, King was keenly aware of the needs of African Americans.  So we will take a look at some of his ideas through the lens of nationalism. 01:00:00Team AfrikanoBlack Nationalism,Nation Building,Pan Africanism,African Nation Building,African AmericanWhere do we go as African Americans in 2011 and beyond?  The civil rights movement is long gone and the conservative movement threatens to roll back any advanc
