For months after Superstorm Sandy hit the East Coast, a 172-year-old Episcopal church in Brooklyn became the center of the universe for people providing mutual aid and those receiving it. Talkupy with Annie Lindstrom welcomes Rector Michael T. Sniffen to the show on Thursday, April 11 at 11 am Eastern Time. We'll discuss how his church became such a critical part of Occupy Sandy's relief effort and the impact it had on the congregation and Occupy Sandy volunteers, and on him. We'll also discuss how, "The coolest church in Brooklyn...and maybe the world!" as Michael calls it, survived a fire that struck the church the day before Christmas Eve. For more information go to Michael's FB Page or the church's FB Page.
