After graduating with a degree in film, and communications in 2009 Daniel got his first job working for the nationally syndicated TV Show Biz Kids on PBS, as a production assistant. The following year he got hired at the international film festival “National Film Festival for Talented Youth” as the submissions and programming intern. Since then he worked at the “Children’s Film Festival of Seattle” where he helped program the week long 2011 festival, at the Northwest Film Forum. In 2012 Daniel produced his most ambitious short film to date "No One Knows" when 12-year-old Jason looks in his neighbor's window, he learns he's not the only kid living in an abusive environment. What he learns will change his life forever. The film was accepted into 18 film festivals, and premiered as an editor’s pick on the Shorts HD Network this January part of Direct TV. Daniel also freelanced for I Am Entertainment Magazine interviewing cover stories with Director Elgin James of Little Birds, and Director Maggie Kelly of ‘Dial a Prayer”. In 2013 Daniel became the festival director of the Seattle Shorts Film Festival "Our goal was and is to bring Seattle film lovers the best of short films from the globe.” The Seattle Shorts is an annual festival at the SIFF Film Center. During and shortly after podiatry school, Mark photographed the live concert performances of such Classic Rock and Roll bands as The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, The Eagles and others, and has photographed many celebrities on the red carpet. A creative artist while in medical school Mark helped institute and develop the video teaching lab where he was a producer, cameraman and editor on teaching videos. IIn his career as a surgical podiatrist, Mark helped advance many of the philosophies and techniques of Minimal Incision (Minimal Traumatic) surgery as applied to the foot far before it was popular and has 8 published researched papers. A fateful meeting in late 2007 led him to Sande Alessi's office after being told he had a great pirate look. They were presently casting Pirates Of The Caribbean 3. Two weeks later he had a fitting & was working at the Disney ranch in the opening scene. His 1st break came immediately as he got chosen out of 500 pirates to be featured as 1 of 21 pirates who would actually be hung at the gallows. At the beginning of 2008, he was slipped into a casting for a new Mark Burnett reality show called Pirate Master. During this last round of Nation-wide casting he was selected as 1 of 16 members to take this undiscovered journey to the island of Dominica where the show was filmed. He did extremely well on the show as the most feared competitor, alas strategy got the better of him & he was cut adrift during episode 9.During this whirlwind period of a crash course in acting, he also began picking up pieces of producing. Although modeling is often about  staying attractive, he couldn't help enjoying stunts that he had performed himself. Due to the close relationship he had with Fidel at that time, Leonardo was able to get the young Julio Antonio's letter detailing his idea about training an "army for the future" into the hands of the new Commander-in-Chief. And so it was that, at the age of 12, Julio Antonio became the youngest Commander in the Rebel Army ("el Commandantico") and the Commander-in-Chief of the Young Commandos of the Rebel Army. In this position, he was a part of the Fidel's inner circle, and so saw firsthand the plans the Castros and their friend, Che Guevara, had for the island of Cuba. Alarmed, he went immediately to his father to warn him of the impending betrayal, only to be met with an outraged dismissal from the house. Utterly disillusioned, he confided everything to an uncle in Havana, only to learn that his uncle had been a spy since World War II.
