Absolutely. I'm sure many of us have heard the metaphor "crab in the bucket," but what does this really exemplify? Do you fall into this category? I, myself, even have to question whether or not I'm not trying to pull you down in your efforts to succeed because of those thoughts that may pop up every now and again, those thoughts I have to cast down. Do you really wish your girlfriend, your man, your Ace, your mate,  well if it appears as though they're climbing the ladder in life and you're not? You know how it’s said, “Girl, that’s good, or man, I’m happy for you.” Does the race card play a part in why the African-American group has been viewed as those "crabs" that pull one another down or may not support one another as they say, the race that is predicted to remain a MINORITY? Well, CYD would like to know. In addition, Obama hasn't even served a full term yet, but have you tipped out on him and turned your steel-toes to Rick Perry? Have you weighed the pros and cons, the accomplishments versus defeats? Obama is just as we are, human, so brotha’ man is just anotha’ man and may not get it all right, but as of 2010, he accomplished 244 tasks (though some we may agree with and others not so); however, Rick Perry has replaced the head of a state commission that is investigating a questionable finding of arson in the case which led to the 2004 execution of Cameron Todd Willingham, and the commission was about to hold a hearing, huh.   Rick Perry, if he’s your guy, then why has the Texas debt doubled since his election, why is the Texas education systems now ranked one of the worst. Is Washington/Political Arena.. Well, BTR, FB, and Twitter family, CYD’s third week of her blog talk radio show, “CYD On Tha’ Real,” approaches this coming Thursday, August 4, 2011.   Now that we have that out of the way, I’d like to dedicate a portion of my show to one of my colleagues that passed away yesterday, but I’d also like to be a listening ear to join those of you that have lost a loved one, those who may be grief stricken, or those of you that may have a sick loved one whereby the doctors may have said, “It’s all I can do,”  in conglomerate prayer on this week’s upcoming show, and CYD would like to lead us in prayer.  If you’ve not told the one you love, “I love you,” take a minute from your hectic schedule today and tell them, because none of us knows the day nor the hour that we’ll breathe that last breath of “zoe” (life.)   For granted, take it not… Once we’ve all been afforded the opportunity to come together in agreement by way of prayer, as a result of the overwhelming calls from last week’s show, I’d like to continue that topic, “Is Washington/Political Arena Too Shallow For Obama,” though there’s a twist to all of it, which is “Where Is God In All of This”?  I say it lies within the scriptures, “14If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14).  What do you say, if anything? PLEASE BE AWARE: Social security recipients, veterans' checks, among other payments, could be at risk if negotiators don't reach a deal to raise the debt limit above $14.3 trillion by Aug. 2. Although Obama won the election outright, he's still in a battle within his own House (the White House). All of us will be affected, whether benefits are being paid to you direct or not.
