Interracial Dating: Who has the Complex Black Women or Black Men

Today is the first day of the rest of the week of Valentine’s Day on Sunday. If you have a man or a woman, then you are probably very excited about the weekend because Sunday is Valentine’s Day. If you do not have a significant other, this can be one of the worst weeks in the year. Not to mention Reggie Bush and many otherwise available black men, are dating white women. In an attempt to blend in with mainstream America and appear socially adjusted and Renaissance (or to get ratings), Wendy Williams declares over and over again how much she likes Kim Kardashian and Reggie Bush together. Her ubiquitous and repetitive voicing of this fact belies the truth in my opinion, because anything you have to repeat over and over is an attempt to convince yourself. While this topic in isolation may not appear religious – the feelings that result afterwards certainly are – especially considering the history of race relations in America. You would think Dr. King and the activist fought for equal dating rights that way black men run after white women. Do you think black men are paying white men back for raping black women during slavery and because they could not even look at a white woman and live?
