Clear & Convincing - Ep. 26 - CA v. Elisabeth Anne Broderick w/Sharon Blanchet

In the early morning hours of November 5, 1989, using her daughter’s keys, Betty entered the home shared by her ex-husband, Daniel T. Broderick, III and his wife of 7 months, Linda Kolkena Broderick.  From the doorway of the master bedroom, Betty shot and killed Linda, then turned the gun on Dan.  Betty then entered the bedroom, yanking the phone from the wall to prevent her mortally wounded ex-husband from summoning help.   Betty turned herself in later that afternoon and portrayed herself  as a victim of Dan, Linda and the legal system of San Diego County, California.    Join Lisa O’Brien and Michael Carnahan on Tuesday, October 23, 2018, at 8:00 p.m. Central for a discussion of the Broderick marriage and their contentious divorce and the events that preceded the murders.  We will also discuss the evidence against Broderick, who was denied parole for a second time in 2017.  We’ll be joined by Sharon Blanchet, a California family law attorney and a friend of Dan and Linda Broderick.  We’re a live show and calls are welcome.  Our phone number is (347) 989-1171.
