    THE CRUCIBLE OF ACHILLES~

It is believed Homer was blind, yet this adaptation proves his vision was far reaching and his insight into the human condition more relevant than ever. The Iliad is revitalized in this contemporary version with a central focus on the epic’s deadliest hero, Achilles. This time, Archie is twenty-seven year old combat veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan, achieving moderate celebrity as the crowd favorite of an underground fight club. Blessed as a fighter, he yearns for a life of peace but is thrust into the greatest battle he will ever know when confronted by a dangerous rival and his own mortality. Homer’s original yarn has been stretched across the millennia, weaving seamlessly man’s battle with himself, his enemies and his God into today’s modern fabric.

    Soul Sanctuary-Deborah Lindeen, Soul Collage

    in Spirituality

Join host Teresa Maron as she discusses the art of facilitating a retreat with guest Deborah Lindeen.

At our recent retreat in Huatulco Mexico, fun and great food was mixed with art, transformation, healing and connection. It was played out against the backdrop of the Spring Equinox, and a lunar eclipse. Magical and powerful!

Our featured presenter, Deborah Lindeen, MA, LPC, guided all of us through the timelessness of creating art, and crafting beauty while around a table speaking from the heart.

“Some of the modalities we used were guided imagery and deep relaxation, journaling, working with mandalas, and of course, SoulCollage!” Deborah Lindeen, MA, LPC

Each of us came with a different journey in mind, and it was an inspiration to me to see how the journeys were interwoven, seamlessly with a magical resolution for us all. The facilitators were on a journey as well, with Deborah and I staying in the moment to support each other, and the group. It was so supportive and loving.

The experience was phenomenal and everyone expressed that it met their needs of self discovery. It exceeded my expectations! Deborah Lindeen, MA, LPC

    Refined Knits by Jennifer Wood

    in Hobbies

Jennifer says: The process of having an idea in your head and bringing it to life fascinates me. It has also given me a chance to bless those around me whether that be through a hand knit gift or encouraging a beginning knitter. One of my favorite things to design is top down sweaters.

Interview with College application Coach Margie Walker

    in Goals

Margie Walker, The Accidental College Application Coach, has a Master’s Degree in Education and a career in copywriting and marketing. These experiences were very helpful when she accidentally fell into coaching high school seniors through their college application process. It all started when her oldest son wrote the worst college essay she’d ever read.

She realized then that high school seniors are ill equipped for the creative task of writing engaging personal narrative essays. Drawing from her background of expertly crafting stories that sell, she morphed her skills to enable teens to create essays that wow admission officers.
