Xavier White grew up listening to his grandfather playing the drums and his mother playing the best of R. Kelly and Usher. Interestingly  his focus in his younger years was not of R&B, but of punk rock. Being bi-racial, with a Scottish father and an African American mother, he had the best of both worlds. His favorite punk rock bands consisted of Green Day, Simple Plan, and Linkin Park.Confused in his younger years, he chose to write music to anything he found suitable for his tempo of music. Around the age of 16, Xavier contended in his high school talent show and sang one of his favorite songs at the time, “So Sick” by Ne-Yo. Placing in 2nd place gave Xavier an idea of what he needed to improve on in the future. Being a fast learner, he promised himself he will win 1st place in the talent show before graduating high school. In Xavier’s senior year, he won 1st place singing and showcasing his powerful vocals with "My Girl" by The Temptations. Xavier released his first EP at the age of 23 called “Our Last Memories.” Between his high school career and his current projects, Xavier has utilized the time to focus on crafting his voice and lyrics. He is currently hitting main stream media and plans on winning a Grammy award in the near future. Currently, his single “New York Times” is garnering major attention from fans and media alike. Xavier’s new EP, Cancer Vs. Gemini, is currently in the works of being released over the summer.

Evening Praise With Rev Tim White

    in Dads and Family

Rev Tim, and guest talk about where are the men.

  • Happy Hour With The Crew: How do we really feel about the $20 bill

    in Radio

Tubman, an African-American and a Union spy (or was she ) during the Civil War, would bump Jackson — a white man known as much for his persecution of Native Americans as for his war heroics and advocacy for the common man — to the back of the $20, in some reduced image along with the White House. Tubman would be the first woman so honored on paper currency since Martha Washington’s portrait briefly graced the $1 silver certificate in the late 19th century. While Hamilton would remain on the $10, and Abraham Lincoln on the $5, images of women would be added to the back of both — in keeping with Mr. Lew’s intent “to bring to life” the national monuments depicted there. The picture of the Treasury building on the back of the $10 bill would be replaced with a depiction of a 1913 march in support of women’s right to vote that ended at the building, along with portraits of five suffrage leaders: Lucretia Mott, Sojourner Truth, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Alice Paul and Susan B. Anthony, who in more recent years was on an unpopular $1 coin until minting ceased. How do we really feel about it?
