As the NHL conteners and pretenders begin to separate themselves, Mike Asti is here to discuss how this new era of Penguins hockey under Head Coach Mike Sullivan could look for a playoff run.
Mike will be joined by Daniel Friedman, of WFAN/CBS in New York, to get a credentialed outsider perspective on Sullivan's Penguins in comparison to the rest of the league.
The NHL caved and John Scott will be an All-Star after all. What was the root of this mess? Was the National Hockey League defeated by trolls?

The New York Mets had an extrodinary 2015 season which lead to an unexpected run to the World Series they came up short to the Kansas City Royals. If there's one man who knows the Mets and is there on a day to day basis it's Ed Coleman who's the Beat Reporter for WFAN in NYC. He'll be joining me tonight to recap the magical 2015 Mets season, the highs, the lows and everything in between.
The Jets had an opportunity to get back to the playoffs for the first time since 2010, win and they were in but they needed to go through their old friend, Rex Ryan and the Buffalo Bills. Unfortunately, they didn't put together their best effort and came up just short and while they still had a shot to make the playoffs with a loss the Pittsburgh Steelers weren't going to let them off the hook with another stunning defeat as they beat the Cleveland Browns.
The other football team in NY had no chance of reaching the post-season but still had one more game to play as they took on the Philadelphia Eagles in the season ending game. Might it have been Tom Coughlin's last game? If so they didn't send him out with the strongest performance as the Giants were defeated by the Eagles 35-30.
I'll also take a look into the basketball teams from the big apple as well.
We have lots to talk about today. My time on WFAN, hot takes, NFL picks, Jets (and their big patriots matchup this weekend) and Giants, that Odell Beckham Josh Norman thing that happened, the undefeated Carolina Panthers, the Mets ownership delivering coal to every Mets fan for Christmas, all day Christmas NBA, and NHL. Happy holidays!
Today on The Sports House will be joined with Super Bowl 37 Champion Dwight Smith, talk with Dwight Smith about his experience in the NFL, him winning a Super Bowl and talk about his greatest moments on the field and more.
We will recap week 11 in the NFL, looking at all the great finishes that happened this week, talk about some of the big names who really showed an impact in week 11 and more. We will also look ahead to tonight's Monday night game between the Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Tennessee Titans.
In our second hour we will have on our second guest of the day. We will be joined with Loru Rubinson from WFAN 660 AM CBS New York to talk with her about the New York Giants, the New York Jets and her thoughts on coach Rex Ryan.
We will of course talk some NBA and NHL. We will take your calls at 646-478-5337 and read your tweets via twitter to @Sonnycruise1, and @rmdest.
Our 20th Episode of Jets Stream Radio is another Victory Monday Episode and we are going to have some fun. We recap the Jets convincing victory over the Titans. Look at the crazy AFC playoff picture, and look at the upcoming Saturday night game in Dallas. Hosts @Paulie_Bruz & @Disable_MMi will be joined by a star studded group of guests. Jeff Capilleni @GreenLanternJet of WFAN & CBS New York. Kyle Smith from @AFCEastBros to give us some AFC East divisonal talk. Jeff Lloyd @Jeff_LJ_Lloyd of Draft Breakdown to discuss some upcoming draft prospects for the Jets and other Jets draft related draft topics. Lastly we will be joined by legend that is Drew @DrewFromJersey to just discuss whatever he wants.
Lost episode or should I say interview with Craig Carton of WFAN in NY. Special interviewer Gary Feder interviews WFAN Jockey Craig Carton and discusses his career and how he got into the media industry, his brand new book and his love of cooking and the sports world. This was taped in 2013 so it is outdated but its why its a LOST episode right? Its so lost you might here take out ordered during the interview..Check it out!!!

WFAN Jets Reporter and Sports Anchor for WFAN & CBS Radio, Chris Lopresti joined us and gutted out a power outage to cover a lot of bases... the Jets, covering the team, getting his start, a changed Rex Ryan, differences in team this year, Geno Smith's development, and how he sees his job with social media. A really great conversation...
A quick discussion of Twitter and the ramifications of making threats to ballplayers there, and then the Funload... Say what you want, but our idea for a restaurant based on the game Perfection is a good one.

What adjustments will the Chicago Bulls make in Game 2 (aside from possibly bringing Derrick Rose back from his strange abyss). Can the Boston Celtics compete if Kevin Garnett is their fourth offensive option?
Chris Sheridan and John Jastremski of WFAN in New York discuss.
The New York Mets clinch the 2015 NL East Division Title, first playoff apperance since 2006. I'll be talking about the Mets with WFAN Sports Radio 660/101.9 FM host, Demetri Adarahtas. New York Yankees looking to return to the playoffs and hang on to the top Wild Card Spot.
The New York Giants take care of business and get their first win of the season on Thursday night against the Washington Redskins. I'll also touch on the struggles of the New York Jets this afternoon where the magic ran out for Ryan Fitzpatrick.
