When we wait upon the Lord, we find ourselves looking to Him to help for some specific need. There is a conscious expectation that He will help us out in that special need. We do not have control over the circumstances and therefore are looking to His provisions, His protection, etc. In each case, though, it is good to notice our special need, recognize that He can help us in that area and then cast our hope in Him.
Waiting upon God is not only biblical but a necessary part of the Christian life for the growing Christian. "Wait for" is an active display of faith in God during impossible situations. Sara had trouble believing God would fulfill his promises, so she plunged ahead with her own solution
Sarah (originally named Sarai) was one of several women in the Bible who were barren. That proved doubly distressing for her because God had promised her husband Abraham that he would be the father of the Jewish nation, with descendants more numerous than the stars in the sky.
After waiting many years, Sarah convinced Abraham to sleep with her handmaiden, Hagar, to produce an heir.
Waiitng is not easy: Abraham & Sara waited for son Isaac: :"God asked Abraham "is anything too hard for me" Gen 18:14
require patience & grace , example of Job
Waiting patiently rewards Job 42:10-17
Relating to and knowing God is one of the great options that has been afforded to us from heaven. Isaiah 4:30 and 31 is a classic verse from scripture that allows us to understand how to do this in a way that helps us to understand God's communication and precepts in a profound way.
What is it to wait upon God? How is it that we may increase our spiritual strength by waiting upon God?
There are three or four things in waiting upon God that make up waiting; for it is a peculiar kind and work of faith that is called waiting: and if you will read the Scriptures, you will find that there is not a duty or exercise of faith which hath greater or more precious promises annexed to it than this of waiting.
The first thing in waiting is looking unto God, eyeing of God. So David expresses it in the Psalms: "As the eyes, of servants look unto the hand of their masters, and as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress; so our eyes wait upon the Lord our God." God expresses it by "looking:" Look unto me, all ye ends of the earth." "In the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee," saith David, "and will look up."
Now, this looking unto God, which is the foundation of waiting, is the fixing of the soul towards God; as when we look upon a thing, we make it the object of our consideration, and bend our thoughts towards it. If we would wait upon God, we must be, in the actings of our faith, looking towards him; that is, we must consider his goodness, the excellency of Christ, his promises, and his truth and faithfulness in them, and his power. We must be in the contemplation of these things if we intend to wait upon God.
The second thing is patience in looking. Sometimes it is called "patient waiting," waiting patiently for the Lord, not to faint, not to be weary. Many a one will cast a look towards God, but as quickly weary; this is not waiting.
A farmer plants seed in the spring and after proper sun, rain, and fertiliziation, food is available to eat in the fall by God's grace. The farmer has work to do, but he is not responsible to make the food grow, he cannot make it grow for he has no power over the seed. He can only make sure the ground is ready and the seed is nourished. So it is with our faith - God is responsible for the increase, we are responsible for keeping ourselves out of environments that choke out the growth. When we do this, the main thing we have to do is wait on God to do his part. Amen.

Prayer nd waiting on God is not an easy task. But the results are well worth the wait. God has perfect timing and many times we feel we need what we want right away. Again But, God comes always right on time over and over again. The wait cause many to fretch because they are not sure if God is going to answer their prayer. But if he hears every word we say he heard but the timing is where we find the problem.
"The servant of Abraham accomplished what he was SENT to do. He CONSULTED God for The Mission,God responded by ACTION.JUST what God LED him to pray,he prayed it and BEFORE HE COULD FINISH PRAYING IT,GOD had started moving! Rebekah acted out the part, she was excited about the NEW MOVE of God,but her family attempted to get in the way of her LEAVING THEM to go forward IN THE LORD'S Blessing. The servant PRESSED FORWARD AND STAYED FOCUSED.His persistence BIRTHED The Mission into being completed. He didn't go back to Abraham empty handed, just like Jesus didn't go back to HIS FATHER without accomplishing HIS Mission. God is The God of Accomplishments. If HE SAID that He is going to Bless you, then be on the lookout, because He IS going to keep HIS PROMISES. HE ORDAINED Marriage and He CREATED It. He gives us our mates for a purpose. When 2 people KNOW that God PUT THEM TOGETHER,then they SHOULDN'T procrastinate. The PERMISSION for Marriage was granted when God BLESSED you two to MEET."In order to SEE The Vision and to RECEIVE It,you HAVE to get alone with God!!"

In our age, we live in a society where most people want everything fast whether it be money, success, status or notoriety. That mindset is not of GOD. We must exercise patience when it comes to the things of GOD. Not all the things are going to come when we want them and we can't go ahead of GOD thinking that if we want something done, we have to do it ourselves. WE, by ourselves, are weak and can do nothing. Nothing is possible without the LORD. So, this week we will see what the Bible has to say about waiting on GOD.
What does God want to teach, to exhort us to "wait" on Him? Let's talk about it.
4 For from of old men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen a God besides thee, who worketh for him that waiteth for him. Isaiah 64:4
