    The Virtuous Woman Mindset

    in Women

A good woman is hard to find, and worth far more than diamonds. Her husband trusts her without reserve, and never has reason to regret it. Never spiteful, she treats him generously all her life long.  She shops around for the best yarns and cottons, and enjoys knitting and sewing.  She's like a trading ship that sails to faraway places and brings back exotic surprises.  She's up before dawn, preparing breakfast for her family and organizing her day.  She looks over a field and buys it, then, with money she's put aside, plants a garden.  First thing in the morning, she dresses for work, rolls up her sleeves, eager to get started.  She senses the worth of her work, is in no hurry to call it quits for the day.  She's skilled in the crafts of home and hearth, diligent in homemaking.  She's quick to assist anyone in need, reaches out to help the poor.  She doesn't worry about her family when it snows; their winter clothes are all mended and ready to wear.  She makes her own clothing, and dresses in colorful linens and silks.  Her husband is greatly respected when he deliberates with the city fathers. She designs gowns and sells them, brings the sweaters she knits to the dress shops.  Her clothes are well-made and elegant, and she always faces tomorrow with a smile.  When she speaks she has something worthwhile to say.  She keeps an eye on everyone in her household, and keeps them all busy and productive.  Her children respect and bless her; her husband joins in with words of praise:  "Many women have done wonderful things, but you've outclassed them all!" Charm can mislead and beauty soon fades. The woman to be admired and praised is the woman who lives in the Fear-of-God.  Give her everything she deserves! Adorn and decorate her life with praises!

Looking and feeling good: There's a niche, just for you!

    in Women

A retired teacher for disabled adults, Anita Beck has always loved sewing and interior design.  From both "loves," Nickky's Niche Designs was born.

As women, we generally seem to have a need for comfort and functionality.  We see this when we consider the rooms we use the most and the clothing we wear the most. In response to these perceived needs, Anita created a line of garments that are not only wrinkle resistant but also comfortable and flattering for today's active lifestyles. Each of her designs, including dresses, skirts, slacks, shawls, vests, jackets, and formal wear, is hand created. Anita says, "my designs travel well and so do I.  As a mobile boutique, I can bring the store right to your door."

Room makeovers are another aspect of her overall dynamic creations where she implements the same design concepts of fun, comfort, affordability, and functionality.  Anita says she feels blessed to be able to do the things she enjoys.

To preview Nikky's Niche Designs, please visit www.nikky'sniche.net.  Then, join our podcast Monday, April 11th at 3:30 pm, PST.  To speak directly with Anita, during the show, phone (646) 716-8344.

Jennifer Michael is dynamic.  Funny.  Passionate.  Determined.  And busy!  She is the founder of CraftyStitches.com and is on a mission to remind and teach women and young girls that sewing is every bit a part of the STEM movement as anything else.  In fact, she was just invited to the White House (yes, THAT White House) as a representative of Etsy (yes, THAT Esty!) to talk about it.  Her products are beautiful and so is her vision.  Hang on as you listen in!  Now where is my sewing machine....

SNOFH with Aj-Poet. Women's History Month 3/25 (2016 GEMSTARR AWARD WINNERS)

    in Performing Arts

Each time we go to air our goal is to promote interest in the creative / performing arts individuals and the community which is made up of these same individuals.  Attempting to bridge those gaps that keep communication strained is the number one priority with "Speak Now with Aj-Poet."  Aj is a strong believer that the more communities come together sharing each others individual qualities, gifts, achievements and legacies the clearer the understanding and respect each will have for each other. Radio is just one form of communication that offers the ability to tap and bring cohesiveness. Radio has been for years at the forefront of communication. No matter how technology will send us in different directions, radio is here to stay.  Almost everyone has something to say and what better opportunity to say it then to bring it straight from the radio to the world.

Aj-Poet a native of Westchester County from Fairview/Greenburgh White Plains, NY to be exact is jumping in head first to share her family of performers, artist, writers with the community.  She hoping not only to reach individuals in the surrounding area but to launch a movement to preserve the beauty of the arts from the stages tot he schools into the community and back.

Aj-Poet will be interviewing, playing music, sharing taped and live interviews.  Discussing what folks are doing out there and also promoting their crafts.  From authors who are reachable in our communities to dancers and musicians about to do a show.  She will have entrepreneurs, supporters, activists, politicians, community leaders and active participants in our communities.

Here's to SNOFHing with you.  Aj

SNOFH with Aj-Poet. Speak Now Or Forever Hold 1/30/16 w/Nathan Pearson

    in Performing Arts

A Poet's Poet, Nathan Pearson shares.

Each time we air our goal is to promote interest in the creative arts community. The focus is to allow artists in the community get their recognition.  We know that radio has been for years at the forefront of communication and no matter how technology will send us in different directions, radio is here to stay.  Almost everyone has something to say and what better opportunity to say it then to bring it straight to radio and then to the world.

Aj-Poet a native of Westchester County in White Plains, NY to be exact is jumping in head first to share her family of performers, artist, writers with the community.  She hoping not only to reach individuals in the surrounding area but to launch a movement to preserve the beauty of the arts.  She especially want that person who we call the "closeted" artist to come out and shine.  No longer will we sing only in our bathroom or paint behind closed doors.  What is freeing with radio is that these talents can be communicated behind a microphone exposing many to what we are afraid to show.  However once revealed a star is born.
