    Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary~ January 8

    Today we are going to focus on the Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary~ usually  said on Monday & Saturday 


    You need not be Catholic to join in here and you don't have to own a set of Rosary beads either. All you need to do is to along with us. 


    The Annunciation


    The First Joyful Mystery is the Annunciation, recalling the Angel Gabriel announcing to Mary that she will bear a son conceived by the Holy Spirit (Luke 1:26-38).



    The Visitation of Mary to Elizabeth


    The Second Joyful Mystery is the Visitation, recalling Mary's visit to her cousin Elizabeth (Luke 1:39-45)



    The Nativity of our Lord Jesus Christ


    The Third Joyful Mystery is the Nativity, the Birth of Our Lord (Luke 2:4-7).



    The Presentation of our Lord


    The Fourth Joyful Mystery, the Presentation of the Child Jesus (Luke 2:22-24).



    Finding Jesus in the Temple at age 12


    The Fifth Joyful Mystery recounts the Finding of the Child Jesus in the Temple (Luke 2:40-52).

    The Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary is usually said on Monday & Saturday 


    The First Joyful Mystery is the Annunciation, The Second is the Visitation, The Third is the Nativity, The Fourth is the Presentation of the Child Jesus and The Fifth Joyful Mystery is THE FINDING OF JESUS IN THE TEMPLE.
    Sometimes before we get started you might want to say what is troubling you if anything.  It could be just something on your mind, as well as say who and what you are praying for.

    The First Sorrowful Mystery is the Agony in the Garden, when his trusted friends, the Apostles fell asleep, leaving him all alone (Mark 14:32-42).

    The Glorious Mystery of the Rosary~ said on Wednesday & Sunday.

    Prayers for the Rosary are: Making the Sign of the Cross, THE APOSTLE'S CREED, THE OUR FATHER, THE HAIL MARY, Glory be to the Father, and The O my Jesus, and at the end, the Hail Holy Queen.      
    Before I start, I say silently the reason for this particular recitation, who I know who needs prayers, whether it be for fears and worries, and friends, family, and for people and situations around the world who are in harms way.  
    The First Glorious Mystery is the Resurrection of Jesus Christ (Mark 16:1-8).


    The Second Glorious Mystery is the Ascension of Christ into Heaven (Luke 24:50-53). 


    The Third Glorious Mystery is the Pentecost, the Descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles (Acts 2:1-4).


    The Fourth Glorious Mystery is the Assumption of Mary into Heaven (Revelation 12:1-6).                       The Fifth Glorious Mystery is the Coronation of Mary as the Queen of Heaven (Revelation 12:1-6).
