Jobs – Helping men & women of all ages to Achieve Their Full Potential!
We here at Project PHD believe that advancing the common good is less about helping one person at a time & more about changing systems (as we know them) to help all of us. We are all connected & interdependent. We all win when a person has the dignity of receiving a paycheck. When a person has his/her dignity (a job) research shows that the children of parents earning a paycheck succeeds far better in school than those with parents who do not receive a paycheck from working. When families are financially stable; our churches, communities, states & country as a whole is a lot healthier & more secure.
The Mission of Project PHD is to create long-lasting changes by addressing the underlying causes of the unemployment & underemployed problems. We will build the strongest representation for employment this country has ever seen allowing us a bargaining seat at the Federal, State, & local levels with the kind of leverage that makes an impact. By you working with us with one voice means you are actively being a part of this much needed change. It takes everyone in the community working together to create a brighter future. Give. Advocate. Volunteer. “Join Us To Speak With One Voice!”
Take A Stand: Change an unemployed or under-employed person’s life. Restore their human dignity with a job by becoming a PHD partner.

We had a cold snap here in VA and that always brings to mind the need for food preservation skills. My history as a chef has taught me a lot about Preserving Food not from a survival stand point but from a swanky food trend stand point. Fortunately it translates. We are going to talk about several different methods for Preserving Food and I want you to start a project now that you can slice into come spring time. Its also a very big night in the I AM Liberty world because Seasons in the Valley will be available to purchase.

We are letting our hair down and going wild on this epidsode of Flock of Goats Preparedness. What am I talking about? We are going to discuss Wildcrafting. Wildcrafing is hunting down and then preserving local weeds, plants, flowers, fungi, trees, berries, etc... to be used either as food or medicine. You can wildcraft even in a city or urban environment.
We will be discussing not only how to identify plants but also cautionary principles that you must use these days. I will also be sharing some of my favorite websites, books and resources as you either begin or advance your Wildcrafting journey and expertise.
We have endured winter and April showers so now it is time to enjoy May flowers! A perfect time to learn the Art of Wildcrafting and getting outside to enjoy the beauty and abundance of creation!

Thanks to Anita Dixon, Kansas City-style jazz music will be broadcasting from a new radio station!
The Mutual Musicians Foundation in the 18th and Vine jazz district was granted a construction permit for a noncommercial, low-power FM radio station.
The foundation is hoping the KC jazz station, at 104.7 FM, will be on the air by the time we air this interview or soon there after.
The foundation expects to hire a full-time general manager but rely on volunteers for other jobs, including announcer
KOJH’s programming will also be streamed online, Dixon says. The Mutual Musicians Foundation continues the jam sessions that were a mainstay of Local 627, which would be 100 years old in 2017
“I’ve never had anything more exciting happen,” Dixon says. “One minute you’re dreaming and the next minute it’s there.”

Coach Nick has dedicated himself to preserving the fundamentals of basketball. By using NBA footage, he breaks down the games with freeze frames, arrows, and slow motion to explain the intricate details of what is happening on the court. By paying close attention off the ball, he opens up a whole new way to watch and analyze the game.
HARRISON, AR—When six former Confederate officers gathered in the winter of 1865 to establish a private social club, none of them could have dreamed that their small group would one day grow into America’s preeminent white nationalist organization, one that embodies the values of faith, family, and community that have always been the bedrock of this great country.
But today, the order of the Ku Klux Klan has become so much more than just a small club of devoted white Americans. The modern KKK has evolved past its humble beginnings into a thriving coalition of the country’s brightest and boldest, a swelling army of individuals dedicated to preserving and celebrating white culture. And with its membership rolls growing on a daily basis, no one can deny that the KKK is back on top, fully in charge, and looking confidently toward the future.
