UDL: Male-Female Relationships From Top To Bottom

    in Education

4: 1. O mankind! reverence your Guardian-Lord Who created you from a single person created of like nature his mate and from them twain scattered (like seeds) countless men and women; reverence Allah through Whom ye demand your mutual (rights) and (reverence) the wombs (that bore you): for Allah ever watches over you.

Some of the Companions of Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) asked his wives about the acts that he performed in private. Someone among them (his Companions) said: I will not marry women; and another said: I will not eat meat; and someone among them said: I will not lie down in bed. He (the Prophet) praised Allah and glorified Him, and asked: What has happened to these people that they say such-and-such, whereas I observe the Prayer and sleep too; I observe fast and abstain (from fasting); I also marry women. And he who turns away from my Sunnah, he has no relation with me (Muslim).

Money Issues: In Black Male/Female Relationships

    in Business

Mr. George Subira is the author of the book Money Issues: In Black Male/Female Relationships, he will discuss this topic with us today! The topic of Black Male/Female relationships is an emotionally charged one and each sex usually feels compelled to defend the positions and perspectives of their gender. Sometimes it doesn't take much for a loud shouting match to develop and what was suppose to be a discussion degenerates into another argument discouraging further attempts at a dialogue between the sexes.
Neither Black Men nor Women can afford to remain ignorant of money and financial management or continue to pass that ignorance down to their offspring. Slavery was an economic system to benefit Whites and exploit Blacks. Black peoples continued financial ignorance continues a similar imbalance in the economy today. We have substantial resources and we have no one to blame for the degree of our poverty but ourselves. Not only must Black Men and Women better understand each other, but each needs to learn how to see the contradictions in their behaviors and statements. While we must not dwell on our mistakes, we certainly must be willing to face up to them and correct them if our relationships are to have opportunities to grow.
