Hybrid Jazz From Trish Hennessey - with Hilary Kole!

    in Music

We've welcomed Hilary Kole before now.  But, let me say this in the strongest of terms - her life has done a 180!  This beautiful and strong and talented woman has risen like a phoenix from her own story - worthy of a movie.  That's all that will be said for now.  We'll focus on the positive turn that a shining star has made :)

Hilary is no stranger to recording.  Good gravy, she's no stranger to ANYTHING pertaining to the music business!  This surreal talent has been known in the New York Jazz circuit for years - in concert halls, symphonies, off-Broadway, TV, and extremely important film events.  That's just for starters!  Hilary has worked with the BEST in the business - it would be exhausting to list ALL of her admirers and those who have shared the stage with her.  But please allow me to name drop: Brubeck, Michel Legrand, Cedar Walton, Nancy Wilson, Quincy Jones, Kenny Barron - we'd be here all day!

Our guest started singing and playing piano when she was FIVE.  At the age of 12, she was awarded a scholarship to the Walden School for Music Composition - that set her on a path to become an award-winner.  The Manhattan School of Music is also in her blood.  She learned so much there because she's such a willing vessel.  SO much so that Hillary was the youngest singer ever to play at the prestigious Rainbow Room.

It's as though she has been preppred for this moment and this Judy Garland tribute.  You may have heard of Hilary because of her work in "Our Sinatra" and "Singing Astaire.  RAVE reviews!  But it was taking her Judy songs on the road that led her HERE.  With each note sung on "The Judy Garland Project", Hilary makes us gasp.  How can this be?  Judy LIVES in a golden throat that was born to sing her songs.  Please join us on 4/21 - in The Chat Room!

The Unknown Zone: Geoglyphs and Ancient Signposts

    in Paranormal

Recently odd geoglyphs have been discovered in New Mexico near Roswell of all places.  The glyphs included Slavic symbolism and seemed a mystery until it was discovered that they were World War II bombing patterns drawn in the desert for target practice.

However this lead into the inquiry of real geoglyphs around the world and the conclusions are as stunning as the glyphs themselves.  And that is ancient world navigators, we're talking 7000 years ago and maybe earlier were leaving signposts and markers for their fellow travelers and for explorers to come.  Yes, sometimes a mysterious geoglyph is just a bombing target, but more often it is a clear sign prior civilizations were highly advanced and had great understanding of the Earth.

Judy Sellins and Dave Turco will uncover many largely unknown geoglyphs right here in the US and around the world which have great meaning that will leave you scratching your head!
