Often times, we get caught in a web of negative and limiting beliefs about nutrition, health, fitness and body composition change. Like any thoughts or beliefs, they start to become a reality, whether they are positive or negative. And we tend to fuel these negative and limiting thoughts and beliefs and like a bad weed, they continue to grow.
Let's take a humorous spin on some of these thoughts and beliefs. This is the "lighter side of nutrition, health and fitness" and once we start to see the lighter side and the humor in some of these thoughts and beliefs, we can start to make big breakthroughs.
Ingrid first entered the fitness industry as a health and fitness enthusiast some fifteen years ago. "My passion for fitness grew out of my love for the activities I was involved with in my youth throughout early adulthood. I was always physically active is some way, whether it was participating in jump rope competitions, dancing in talent shows, cheering, teaching gymnastics or coaching elementary school cheerleading teams to championships. Dr. Angela Tran is Board-Certified in Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine and is an active member of the Obesity Medicine Association. She has practiced in primary care since 2007, and recognized that obesity was often the root cause of many chronic medical conditions that she saw in her office including diabetes and high blood pressure. Because of her internal Medicine background, she has a greater understanding of the medical complexities that often serve as barriers to weight loss. She has seen the many struggles her patients have had with their weight, and therefore she has now dedicated her practice solely on weight management.
At Med-Fit, the primary focus is to teach patients and their families about healthy living through a variety of medically supervised diet and fitness programs.
