Today we're talking about skill #7 - understanding familiar words. SLPs refer to this skill as receptive language, language comprehension, or auditory (hearing) comprehension. Children must understand words before they begin to use words meaningfully. In this show we're talking about the significant role receptive language plays in developing early communication skills. Listen for tips for working with toddlers to make sure they learn to understand familiar words and complete simple requests. Read the full summary at Laura's website teachmetotalk.com.
From his days training with the legendary Johnny Rodz to being The Laughing Man to taking a joke gimmick and turning it into something credible to helping develop the system responsible for many of the talents being seen on WWE TV, Bill DeMott has seen it all, Bill DeMott has done it all. Tonight, we get the privilege of speaking to Bill DeMott.
Bill has been through everything the business has to offer. He worked for a short lived Chicago/Minneapolis based promotion called the American Wrestling Federation (AWF), the Japanese W*I*N*G promotion and early ECW.
