Kathy Shimmield joins me in the Authors Alley here on #WoMRadio to share her witt and creativity, too! Kathy is a Mom of 3 who decided Moms needed more than just meditative coloring to relax, they needed a good laugh too!
A 'Day in the Life of Mom' is a satirical yet honest commentary about what occurs during an average day with the kids. This book is set up as an illustrated adult coloring book so moms can color and laugh to relieve their stress. (From me, Dori) I don't know about you - but I have always loved to color and this is a really fun book that gives you a way to have a stress break and playfully laugh your way through a day in the life of mom...

Kathy Shimmield joins me on The Mompreneur Model to share not only her company, but the funding project she has undertaken to move to the next level.
Kathy lauched iMommy (a virtual baby app) and it was showing a profit within 6 months. Every year it grew and she reinvested the money back into the app. Figuring out things as she went along, because no one was willing to help. Kathy made tons of mistakes but got back up and kept at it. Eventually iMommy was in the to 50 catagories in the under 5's...and still is.
Kathy also created Baby Monsters, Alien Babies, iMommy Retro, and soon to come out are Baby Faries and Baby Mermaids. In 2015 Kathy will be in discussion for an iMommy doll line. The issue Kathy has faced since Apple changed the rules for the kids category is having to re-do key elements of the app in order to get back on top. Though ranked high, with 5-star reviews, her income has dropped by two-thirds. Not having the funds to fix these issues, Kathy is seeking other funding options to help her reach the next level of growth.
Meet Kathy and find out more about her projects and how you can make a difference in her growth.
Thanks to our show sponsors, Phisco Marketing and Safety First Bags. Meet them and all our sponsors in our Mompreneur Marketplace.

6:15-Katherine Wong-Velasco discusses with Kathy, Thinking Outside The Box When It comes To Dating.
For a long time, Katherine felt she had to find a man of similar background to her — well-educated and ambitious in their career. Katherine was ready to settle down and get married, but it just wasn’t happening. Then she read “The Surrendered Single”, and she started to examine her thinking. Why not go ‘outside the box’ when it comes to dating? What if she had been overlooking someone brilliant just because his path didn’t match hers? Katherine realized that the relationship that would make her happiest would never come if she tried to force her own goals on it. She let go of her old notions, tried some different strategies, and found the wonderful man that would become her husband. Her past relationships weren’t mistakes; they were a learning ground for the future.

There's an old rap lyric...Money Power Respect, its what you need in life.
Magic, Power, and Light now that sounds more like it.
We have all of these traits within each one of us. We may exude one more than the others. Or perhaps a combination. But what happens when that Power, that Magic, that Light connects with someone who allows that which is great within you to shine through even brighter. What happens when you join forces with someone who excels in those areas where you are lacking? The possibilities are infinite.
Do you know what you bring to the table?
Do you know your strength?
Once you realize what you bring to the table, connecting with those who can and will propel you to greatness is inevitable.
We see it with our Masters. We've seen it in powerful friendships, business partnerships, and relationships.
Join us this Sunday as we talk about Power, Magic, and Light and how it translates into successful relationships of all kinds.

1 Hour of Prayer with FOLW followed by GOD STILL HEALS with Elder Kathy Kendall
Caregiving involves caring for others, giving our time, pushing ourselves to the limit, advocating, learning and loving.
Many times it also involves sharing.
Five caregivers, Pegi Foulkrod, Gincy Heins, Trish Hughes Kreis, Richard Kries and Kathy Lowrey got together and decided to share their collective wisdom with other caregivers. We all started, knowing just about nothing about caregiving but we learned “on the job” and by talking, laughing, crying and sharing with each other.
365 Caregiving Tips: Practical Tips from Everyday Caregivers is the beginning of a series of books created with the intent of helping others through their caregiving journey. The tips are practical because as caregivers, we have to be practical. We have to make the most of our limited time, money and energy and these tips are designed with those limited resources in mind.
Listen in and learn how Pegi Gincy, Tirsh, Richard and Kathy are creating Healing Ties all around us!
Chris MacLellan, The Bow Tie Guy, is the host of Healing Ties and the author of "What's The Deal With Caregiving"
