Girls Fly! (Girlsfly.org) partners with authors and publishers to inspire women and girls to write. We believe that finding your written voice will help you to know that there is support, you don't have to wait to be invited and that "written words have a bigger voice than screaming out loud." Girls Fly! is partnering with Barnes & Noble for the 2019 "Finding Your Written Voice Tour" with your local authors present just for you. We are proud to partner with Nothing But The Truth Publishing http://nothingbutthetruth.com/ and editor, Deborah Santana, of the anthology, ALL THE WOMEN IN MY FAMILY SING.
Today, meet Dera R. Williams who contributed her essay, "Not Shirley Temple Curls" to the anthology. Dera lives, works and plays in the San Francisco Bay Area.
