Join DP Lyle and Jan Burke for a discussion with Barry A.J. Fisher, who spent two decades as the director of the Los Angeles County Sheriff Department's crime labs.  He is the past president of both the American Academy of Forensic Sciences and the International Association of Forensic Sciences; an internationally recognized expert on forensic science and forensic science policy; recipient of the highest honors in his profession; and the author of some of the most widely used textbooks in the field. We'll talk about his career, the present and future state of forensic science, new legislation and and how  the public can help to ensure the betterment of forensic science services.
