In today's show you'll meet two children who have decided to collect 10,000 books for disadvantaged children in Fiji.   On a trip to Fiji a Melbourne family visited a school. Jake (5) and Amy Stewart (8) had brought a large bag of pencils and other small gifts. They gave their gifts to the 400 students. It was humbling for them to witness how happy and grateful the children where to receive these small items. The school was completely flooded in March 2012,. But what struck Jake and Amy was the empty library. So they decided to do something to support these kids and the Bula Books initiative was developed. Our aim is to collect and donate 10,000 kids books to the school.   http://www.bulabooks.com.au 00:30:00SusanDaynobula books,Susan Day,childrens books,Astros Adventures, books for charityIn today's show you'll meet two children who have decided to collect 10,000 books for disadvantaged children in Fiji.   On a trip to Fiji a Melbourne family vAishah Macgill & Australian Writers Rock!http://www.blogtalkradio.com/susandayauthor/2013/11/07/aishah-macgill-australian-writers-rockBookshttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/susandayauthor/2013/11/07/aishah-macgill-australian-writers-rock/#commentshttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/susandayauthor/2013/11/07/aishah-macgill-australian-writers-rockThu, 07 Nov 2013 22:30:00 GMTAishah Macgill & Australian Writers Rock! In today's episode Aishah Macgill, Australian Author and self-publishing expert, is going to talk to us about Australian Writers Rock and her workshops at Eumundi. Aishah considers herself a 'seeker of truth' which has taken her on travels to Nepal, India and Europe and fantastic inner journeys that are just as exciting. She lives overlooking the ocean on the wonderful Sunshine Coast in Queensland.  She describes her environment as "soothing, healing by its very nature." However, she dearly misses the buzz and street life of Asia. To compensate though, she lives in a pristine natural environment and she absolutely loves the ocean. She still shrieks with joy every time a whale splashes by and is mesmerised by watching the waves roll in. She loves watching the local surfers too :) You can find out more about Aishah's work at: http://australianwritersrock.com http://aishahmacgill.com http://finitepublishing.com http://aishahmacgill.com/thebonethrower http://aishahmacgill.com/amazonauthorpage http://goddesscandy.com.au   00:32:00SusanDaynoAishah Macgill,Australian Writers Rock, selfpublishing,Astros Adventures, susan dayIn today's episode Aishah Macgill, Australian Author and self-publishing expert, is going to talk to us about Australian Writers Rock and her workshops at EumuDeveloping a Social Conscience & ForestNationhttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/susandayauthor/2013/10/31/developing-a-social-conscience-forestnationBookshttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/susandayauthor/2013/10/31/developing-a-social-conscience-forestnation/#commentshttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/susandayauthor/2013/10/31/developing-a-social-conscience-forestnationThu, 31 Oct 2013 22:30:00 GMTDeveloping a Social Conscience & ForestNation Mary E LaLuna is a fellow radio host here on BlogTalk Radio.
