A Chat in the Garden

Assistant Media Relations Director Akilah Laster joined the Tennessee staff in August of 2019. She is the primary contact for the Lady Vols softball program and also is a key member of the football communications team.

Prior to her arrival on Rocky Top, Laster spent three successful years at Cal Athletics, where she served as the primary contact for softball and men’s gymnastics for three seasons and volleyball for one year. She also worked two fall seasons with the men’s soccer team while contributing in a significant capacity to the football and baseball communications efforts.
