A Chat in the Garden

Khalilah Harrison is an Executive Director for The YMCA of South Hampton Roads. She is an 11 year YMCA Professional known for her creativity and ingenuity in operations and developing others. Khalilah's accomplishments include 2008 Recognition of Service Excellence (ROSE) award while serving the YMCA of Greater Charlotte; 2016 Outstanding New Rotarian (Norfolk Sunrise Rotary); and a nominee for the YMCA of South Hampton Roads Professional Excellence award in 2014, 2015, & 2016. She currently serves the Y Movement as a member of the Emerging Leader Resource Network, and Employee Resource Group of the YMCA of the USA.

Khalilah is passionate about supporting others to reach their goals and a consummate learner. Guided by the African principle of Ubuntu, I am because You Are, Khalilah believes in the connectivity of people who understand and leverage their talents for the greatest good.
