Active shooter events may seem like faraway, low-probability events, but this week a 19 year old man entered a high school just a few miles from the Altons' home and killed 17 and injured a dozen more. This is another horrific incident in the New Normal, and you can be sure that it won't be the last. Is there anything that can be done to end these attacks on innocent citizens, often youngsters? Joe Alton MD and Amy Alton ARNP, aka Dr. Bones and Nurse Amy, gives a few suggestions that might decrease the number of active shooter events and the deaths that surely follow.

Plus, a listener of Jack Spirko's Survival Podcast develops a frozen shoulder and wants advice. What is a frozen shoulder and is there anything that can be done to alleviate the pain and improve the range of motion of the joint?

All this and much more on the latest Survival Medicine Hour with Joe and Amy Alton!
