In honor of Universal Children’s Day this week, a day that the United Nations brings attention to children’s causes and initiatives, so we're going to discuss the ABCs of friendship. Help your child share toys, be kind, compliment your friend and show openness, “Be my friend.”
Show and Tell.
You see, I’m not talking about teaching children on how to learn how to be friends… I’m asking what happened to you and me and us… the adults? How can you expect your child to share their toys when you don’t share yours? Why do you hold the expectations of your children’s friend behavior higher than your own?
ABCs of Friendship
A = Adult's need to recall their good and bad childhood friend lessons and incorporate what you learned from then into the adult friend you are today. B = Behavior, learn how children behave in making friends. C = Change, try new things that push you out of your comfort zone.
