Join WORDS-MAKE-PEOPLE on Sunday August 4, 2019 from 1-3 p.m. (EST) as we discuss "The Islamic Prayer (Salat) Represents Human Democracy".

The Islamic prayer, proper called "Salat" is full of messages for human excellence, individually and collectively. Everything that Prophet Muhammed left with us was full of meaning and purpose, NOT JUST FOR MUSLIMS, but for the entire human family.

Salat has various positions. Our show today will focus largely on the sitting position which is called "Jalsa" (the short sitting) and "Qa'da" (the longer sitting).

We will be drawing largely from the commentaries and thinking of Imam W. Deen Mohammed as we discuss this topic, "The Islamic Prayer (Salat) Represents Human Democracy".

Every word recited in salat is speaking of human excellence and the full development of the individual and society, which concludes with Allah having established us on the throne to rule our lives according to His purpose for us.
