Alfonso Colasuonno, author, researcher and former college professor experienced a life-changing exposure to the paranormal and alternative healing after finding himself unemployed.
Alfonso earned his Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing at Beloit College. At Beloit, he studied under the tutelage of many acclaimed writers, including PEN/Barbara Goldsmith Freedom to Write Award winner Bei Dao and two-time winner of the American Fiction Award Clint McCown.
After finding himself as an unemployed teacher he experienced a life-changing exposure to the paranormal and alternative healing.
In reality, Alfonso has cultivated a lifelong passion for the paranormal and cryptozoology, and among his earliest memories are scouring books of the unexplained at his aunt's home during family gatherings.
He has published 65 works of poetry and short stories in a 35 literary magazines. He was the co-founder and editor-in-chief of Beautiful Losers Magazine (belomag.com), a literary magazine dedicated to poetry, short fiction, and nonfiction. Alfonso instructs aspiring and emerging writers on how to advance their literary careers through his influential blog The Literary Game.
Alfanso has developed and written a feature-length film, Relevant, currently in pre-production at Supersonic Productions, LLC. He is a partner on Old Forgotten Art Found (ofafthehunt.co), a startup devoted to finding and returning art stolen by the Nazis to the rightful owners and is set to write the accompanying books of the OFAF team’s epic journey. Alfonso has been a featured storyteller at Thomas Pryor’s acclaimed “Stoops to Nuts” at New York’s Cornelia Street Café.
In his spare time, Alfonso practices Reiki, being inducted into the spiritual practice by renowned Reiki Master Pamela Miles. Alfonso is the founder of the influential writing blog The Literary Game, where he helps writers through advice and book reviews.
