With a Ph.D, Barbara was a highly successful biology teacher, winning state, national, and international recognition, until Parkinson's Disease forced her to retire. Making a passage from science to the arts, in writing and drawing, her creative path led to her novels Crypsis, Royal Blue, and The Prism Codex 3! Her latest book, The Violent Years, is nonfiction, and is about her father's experiences as a soldier in Germany during World War II who was captured and escaped, and then returned to become a US Olympic gymnast!
