We're Hiring?????

Police Departments across the country are hiring. If you look at their advertisements they show the “benefits” and salary. However few people really know what being a Police Officer is about and what the mental costs are. Politics, Special Interest Influencers, Good Ole Boy Systems, little to know Mental Health and way too many Chiefs that are disconnected from the daily stress and frustration of being a Patrol Officer. The people who have little to no voice in how patrol is run and even less of a voice in which type of policing the community receives. Yes, there are problems with police and citizen communication. Yes there are some bad officers. Yes there is racism and every other form of unacceptable and immoral behavior that society has. Why? Because nothing ever changes. This Saturday we’re going to take an honest look at police recruiting, retainment and some of the reasons why policing is suffering.
