This Saturday on Behind the Blue Curtain our guest will be LaRhonda Young.  Ms. Young is a Former Fort Worth Police Officer, working towards her Doctorate in Education at Walden University, Master’s in Education from Louisiana College and Bachelor of Arts from Texas Christian University.  We’re going to discuss the unnecessary death of Tatiana Jefferson.  Lack of Cultural Diversity?  Careless Policing? Bad Training? Or simply business as usual.  Why do things like this continue to happen,  and always in the middle class and poor communities?  Never at the suburban homes, upper class loft apartments, or mansions.  Its easy to say “well the police need better training?  That’s become a “magic bullet statement.”  Something is obviously wrong with the recruiting, training, standards and supervision in policing in America.    When the problems continue to play out in poor and middle-class neighborhoods and overwhelming to black people you have to wonder if “selective response” and selective reaction” play a part.  These incidents are not just “a sad event or bad judgement”, they are decisions and actions that are costing real people their lives., The Facebook Live Crew will be holding the side show, Ret 32 years Chicago Homicide Detective Joseph Moseley, Tyrone K Dunmore, Claudia Lynch, Esq and Walter Gus Glover will be on point and ready to go.  If you’d like to chime in the call-in number is 646-716-4621 then press 1 if you’d like to join the conversation.  Please be mindful of your background noise and mute your phone when waiting to speak.  See you all this Saturday, 11 am Eastern and 10 am Central.
