The Film "Including Samuel"
 
 
Dan Habib is the director, producer and cinematographer of the documentary, Including Samuel. The Emmy-nominated film was broadcast nationally on public television and won the Positive Images in Media award from TASH.
Including Samuel has been featured on “Good Morning America,” NPR's “All Things Considered,” and in the Washington Post and Education Week. Exceptional Parent Magazine said "Including Samuel is a must see film."
Habib is Filmmaker in Residence at the Institute on Disability at the University of New Hampshire. Until joining UNH in April of 2008, he was the photography editor of the Concord Monitor. In 2006 and 2008 he was also named the national Photography Editor of the Year. His work has appeared in numerous publications, including Time, Newsweek, People, Life, and the New York Times.
Habib has been named New Hampshire Photographer of the Year six times. He has been a judge of Pulitzer Prizes, Pictures of the Year, Best of Photojournalism and the White House News Photographer's Association.
Habib’s second film, Education Revolution (working title), due for national release in 2012, documents the lives of students with emotional/behavioral disabilities, and shows innovative educational approaches that help these students to succeed – while improving the overall school culture and climate.
Habib and his wife, Betsy, live in Concord, New Hampshire, with their sons Isaiah, 15, and Samuel, 11.
