April 20, 2016 at 3:00 pm – SOUTH CENTERS CHAT with host TOM WORLEY, PhD. features Dr. Keith Smith, Professor Emeritus, Agricultural Communication, Education and Leadership (ACEL)with The Ohio State University College of Food, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. Discussions surround Challenges facing our agricultural communities such as: Water – A major resource that faces many challenges; unexpected Adverse Climate Conditions; Erosion of Top Soils resulting from poor farming management;  Concerns about diseases in animas (Avian flu, Johne’s disease etc.) – antibiotic résistance; Introduction of new species from different countries; Invasive like the Emerald Ash Bore etc.); Renewable Fuels/bioenergy; Ohio Agriculture – a little bragging;  and  not enough young folks going getting into the Agricultural fields.
