Every season has it's signature moments and for many of us the Summer is punctuated by the outdoor concerts we see. I can rattle off entire decades in my mind just by recalling what 'tour' a band I follow rolled through town. From the musician's standpoint, the search is for that mystical state of flow. It begins as a personal process, then spirals within a group or band and then extends to their fans. Athlete's call it the zone. Musicians call it a groove. It's what they are effectively sharing with us as we enjoy them. That groove is what we pay top money to experience live. I know many of you are all excited about the Law of Attraction. To know why it hooked you, you need to learn the Law of Entrainment..."In 1665, Dutch Scientist Christian Huygens described something which is now called the law of entrainment. This law holds that if two or more rhythms are in close proximity, they will always fall into synchrony (or, as we say using slang, get in synch). Huygens observed that pendulum wall clocks, when placed next to each other, would become “entrained” and beat in sync with each other. This law holds true for all types of rhythms: biological, celestial, mechanical, musical, etc." -- We're lucky enough to spend an hour exploring that law with Tom Major, founding member of the band ENTRAIN on the program.
