Anna O’Connor (26) was diagnosed with Stage IV, high risk Neuroblastoma at age 17, just prior to her senior year at Wheaton North High School. She has endured multiple rounds of chemotherapy, major surgery to remove the primary abdominal tumor, many rounds of radiation and has participated in numerous clinical trials. Although still plagued by disease, spreading from several bones to her lungs, liver and multiple sites in her abdomen and back, she has graduated with her B.A. in Psychology from Wheaton College near her home in Wheaton, Illinois, and has started a foundation to benefit research for a cure for neuroblastoma called “Anna’s hope.” In May of 2011, Anna completed a Masters in Clinical Psychology with plans to work with individuals struggling with life’s challenges.
Anna is, without question, a living testament to God’s unfailing love. Anna's website is http://www.annabanana.org/
