Originally built i 1917 for the tobacco industry, it now hosts special events and is a unique destination that also offers gourmet catering service. A Prizing House was a location used by the tobacco companies many years ago to bundle tobacco leaves.  This process occured after the curing of the leaves and the grading.  The 'prizing' was a pressing of the tobacco leaves into large bundles called Hogsheads.
