SISFI in association with the NY Humanitarians Network "NYHN", the NYC Community Activists Network "NYCCAN", the International Community Media Network Project "ICMNP", The Rockaways Community Actions & Response Coalition “TRCAARC” and My Rockaways Media "MyRM" invites you to join us in a community dialog about “Preparing for the 2013 Hurricane Season”, June 1st – Nov. 30th.

We are still trying to recover from the mental and physical impacts of Superstorm Sandy in many ways and places today and will not have time to cover all the needs on the ground with the next hurricane season just 2months away and WE ARE NOT READY for it. There’s much to be done in preparation for the season and what it “may” or “can” bring. So how much longer can we wait before seriously looking into these challenges and needs?

Join the dialog for updates, questions and concerns in looking at the challenges we’re facing and the needs, preparations and challenges of the next season.

Are YOU ready for the 2013 Hurricane Season?
What about the mental impacts of Sandy, are we mentally prepared for another storm?
How are we helping people with the mental impacts of their losses and readjusting/relocating?
What are your biggest challenges and concerns for the upcoming season?
Will you be sheltering in place when the next hurricane is coming?

Please invite your network of people so they too can benefit from this dialog.

We invite any organization, professional, official and government agency to join in the dialog so we can effectively collaborate to address any impending dangers we may face during the season.

Thank you and God bless as we brace for what is the unknown of a season we cannot change but must face.

One Love.
