Tonight’s show continues our mission to reinvent the stereotype of soap fans and celebrate a genre in trouble.  As we approach Oscar night out thoughts turn to the Daytime Emmys this year.  With four shows “remaining” this year’s Daytime Emmys could be very interesting!  As we recall last year’s show, there were rumor bombs dropped all along the way that weekend especially with the Wall Street Journal article which was printed in the weekend edition while actors and pundits gathered for the Las Vegas Promotional telecast.  Tonight Nelson Branco reveals the Daytime Emmy pre, pre-nom ballot — and what your favourite stars submitted. Plus: A preview of his ONE LIFE tribute book which will be finally released this week!  We’ll also discuss what’s ahead for Young & the Restless, Bold & the Beautiful, Days of Our Lives and General Hospital as we come to the middle of the critical February sweeps period.

Also on tap for the show is a discussion about the coupon campaign, local affiliates drive and the latest “communications” with Prospect Park.  As the clock ticks for All My Children with September fast approaching, we’re coming down to the wire and have urged PP to just let the show return to ABC.  Tonight we will discuss REAL options for the future of AMC and OLTL.   Our collective effort to make the debate among soap fans more civilized is WORKING!  Tonight I’ll fill you in on what we’re hearing from local affiliates about the tone of the calls they are receiving these days.  GREAT WORK, SOAP FANS!
