On Friday September 20 at 8 PM PST/11 EST Taking Back America once again welcomes its resident economics expert Karl Eysenbach, who writes a unique blog under the name Old New Lefty.

If the endless debates about economics we hear in the news and read about in newpaper and magazine articles and columns seem confusing, it is because all of them are based on false premises. That is why none of the mainstream media "experts" are talking about the fact that the US and global economies are not just going through a down cycle but are in fact fundamentally broken.

Historical comparisons are completely invalid. We are in a unique period where the financial geniuses who made out like bandits while crashing the economy and leving entire nations in their debt are out of tricks to hide the truth any longer. We are never going to see a return to what was always an unsustainable model of economic growth.

Once this is clearly understood, it becomes obvious that we face a stark choice: submit to perpetual economic slavery or organize to effect a complete transformation of our socioeconomic model by transforming the political and economic assumptions on which it is based.
