A lot of people are asking questions about some of the highly unusual circumstances around the Boston bombing that include misleading statements by the FBI, an apparently exceptional police presence at the event and the curious Chechnyan connection, which may be a clue to international intrigues we would otherwise not know of.

On April 23 our guest was Karl Eysenbach, political blogger for Salon.com as Old New Leftie. We talked about the underlying lessons of Boston that indicate the not-so-subtle shift of police power in the US as the War of Terror returns home for the first time since 9/11.

We explored the possibility that the bombing could be used by the corporate powers-that-be to reinforce their control over the US populace in the highly profitable national security state, the implications of that to liberty and what we must do to create a more rational society that takes care of its own and can live in peace with its neighbors.
