Traditional positive psychology looks past the biggest challenges to well-being: the sensations of being stuck, withdrawn or uncertain and the frustrations of feeling limited. These challenges are often caused by unresolved, and often unrecognized, past trauma. Connie and Cole have used their expertise and insight into the trauma experience to detail a program to resolve these distressing feelings, to find a sense of peak effectiveness, and to strengthen the client's capacity to work through future challenges to well-being.
