Tonight, we have two amazing guests. In the first half of our show, our guest is Evelyn Parham. She is joining us to discuss “How Educators Can Develop and Maintain a Healthy Lifestyle”. Our second guest is Dr. Veda Jairrels and she will be here to discuss “Has Standardized Testing Has Outlived Its Value”

 

Bio:

Evelyn Parham is a Writer and Eating Psychology Coach, helping men or women with the following concerns: dieting, weight, digestion, and body image. I also help people get started with making healthy changes to their life. Her mission is helping people get healthy and live nourished so they can feel great. I am a graduate of Tennessee Technological University (M.S. – thesis track) and the University of Tennessee at Martin (B.S.) with degrees in biology. I obtained my coaching certification from the Institute for the Psychology of Eating. I am a follower of Jesus Christ, wife of an amazing man, mother of a beautiful daughter who happens to have an extra chromosome, an avid reader, and a health and fitness enthusiast; residing in the State of Georgia

Bio:

Dr. Veda Jairrels has a bachelor's degree in political science and a law degree from Indiana University. She obtained her master's degree in special education from Columbia University. She later went on to earn her Ph.D. in special education from the University of Alabama. Dr. Jairrels is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania. She has taught in the public schools of New York City for six years. Dr. Jairrels is currently a professor of Exceptional Education at Clark Atlanta University. She is also the author of the book, "African Americans and Standardized Tests: The Real Reason for Low Test Scores."
