Collier is a native of Heidelberg, Mississippi, and a long time resident of Brandon, Mississippi. She was married to the late Henry Lee Collier for nearly four decades; she is the mother of six, a retired healthcare professional, and the spokesperson and founder of Citizens Against the Rebel Flag Hanging in Public Places www.therebelflagmustgo.com. This organization copyrighted the first rebel flag protest t-shirt in U.S. history, and produced a historical U.S. 1860-1861 Map, which is a placemat and a learning resource for people of all ages.
